No SNA this saturday
The campus is closed and I wasn't able to find an alternative venue in time so there will be no SNA this saturday.

PS. We can probably have the party next week.

I hope everyone has a good 4th.

Okay, there's the details again. I'm probably not going to be able to make it this time, though, but I'll have to check with schedules and all that fun stuff. If you can make it, please post your name here so I can have a list for Stephanie from the Gardens.

Saturday Night Anime in jeopardy
I got an email from Sammy this evening that pretty much says we can't have SNA on saturday during the summer and on weekdays we can only have it twice.

The original email is below

Due to many reasons we have been asked to limit each club to only two multi-room events per quarter.

A few of the reasons include but are not limited to:
1. Budget cuts this year and Clark looking to regain revenue from outside agencies by booking more rooms.
2. Clark’s new Weekend College needing to use more rooms.
3. Mark’s rate of pay is a minimum of $50-$75 if the event requires media during the summer.
4. Plant Services is only allotted to clean and reset room for ASCC for a set amount of hours per quarter.
These are only a few reasons. More information will be made public in a few months.

· Each chartered club can hold two multi-room events per quarter.
o A multi-room event is defined as any room that seats more than 35 people.
§ For example: Gaiser Student Center, Penguin Student Lounge, Foster Auditorium, and the combination of PUB 258A & B.
o A single room event is defined as any room that seats 30 people or less.
· According to Clark’s Administrative Procedures - 510.020 BUILDING OCCUPANCY AND USE - All buildings shall be closed to students and the public before 6:30 a.m. and after 10:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday and before 6:30 a.m. and after 6:00 p.m. on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, except as approved by the president or designee.

So, you are asking yourself what does this mean for our club events?

· What this means for you and other chartered clubs is that they can only hold two events that require more than one room per quarter.

· Events must end before 6:00pm on the weekends so that students can exit the building before 6:00pm.

· A reminder to you and your club advisors – anytime that there is an event on campus your club advisor must be present for the entire event.

I understand that for the past few years that you have been holding your events every weekend but with a new year we need to adjust our procedures to do what is best for the students and Clark as a whole.

I have placed both of your event requests on my counter. Please come in and fill out which two weekends you would like to hold your game events and Cheryl will process the paperwork for you since I will be on vacation until July 8th.

If you have any questions you are welcome to email me back or talk to Carrie Weikel-Delaplane when she returns July 1st.

Thank you and have a wonderful summer.

Unless I can get them to change their minds the school has just screwed us over for the second time this week.

Edit: I didn't notice before since I was busy but it says per quarter and starts summer quarter in the email. This means that it isn't just for summer quarter but permenantly until they change this.

Anime Expo Trip Cancelled
I just found out we won't be going on the trip to Anime Expo. Several problems occured and we couldn't get the signatures in time for are trip.

Carey telling me at the last minute that we needed the waiver forms filled out and signed by everyone was a major problem. (This would have been done over a month ago if it wasn't for that)

Also Grace wouldn't allow us to split the Travel Request and made us wait till the funds were in our account for the entire trip before putting through the travel request. That just occured and there isn't enough time to get the signatures since one of the people isn't going to be here untill July 6th.

I'm sorry everyone for this and we will discuss this at the meeting saturday.

PS. I tried everything I could till the last minute to make this trip go forward.

Spring Thing
Since the person who was going to get snacks for Spring Thing isn't going to get them anymore I have to get them. What this means is there won't be that many snacks since I can't fit so much in my moped but I'll try to get as much as possible.
