A message from our Club Coordinator
So, I just saw an e-mail message from Scott; here's what it says.
You may have questions about the amount of club service funding you were allocated.
Your Club the Clark Manga and Anime Club was awarded 85.5 hours and because your club failed to attend the Club Service Funding Training which was held on December 9th from 10-12 and 1-3 your club receives no funding for Fall 2010. All awarded hours will be applied to winter quarter Club Service Funding hours as long as your club meets all requirements which are outlined in the Club Handbook.
If you are concerned that you are underfunded please check with the entity that filed the paperwork with our office. If a club did not apply service hours toward the Club Service Funding request, they are not credited with the money. If this is the case you may appeal to Executive Council. Details follow.
Any Club who was denied part or all of the requested Club Service funds for any reason may appeal the decision with ASCC Executive Council in the quarter immediately following the denial/lack-of-approval of funds (in this case Fall). This is done by petitioning Executive Council at an EC meeting, providing a proposal stating the reasons why the hours they requested were denied, what circumstances led to those reasons, supplying the missing information (if missing information was the cause of their denial of part or all of the funds requested) and expressing why they deserve to receive the funds. The Executive Council deliberates and will vote either to issue the funds, or hold that the original ruling of the Club Coordinator stands. Appeals that are not approved by EC may be appealed to the Director of Student Life and Multicultural Student Affairs without going back to EC, but must first have been denied approval by EC for this to be a valid course of action.

Matsuri no Holiday
On December 1, we will be having our campus holiday event.
It will be a potluck-type of event. (I believe that any outside food needs to be store bought or delivery, or something like that; I'll look into it).
We will be showing the Christmas episode of The Melancholy of Haruhi-Chan Suzumiya, followed by Tenchi the Movie 2.
I plan on bringing a Hanakiah, as well, so that we have multiple holidays represented. (Hanakiah=a menorah that is specifically for Hanukkah). Since Dec. 1 is the first night of Hanukkah this year, I'll be doing the traditional lighting of the Hanakiah, too.
We might be providing video games, too, but that has yet to be determined.
We hope to see everyone there!

Lovely Complex
Plays third
Genres: comedy, romance, slice of life

Plot Summary: Risa Koizumi, taller than the average girl, and Atsushi Ootani, shorter than the average guy - their constant bickering and comical love-hate relationship is well-known throughout the school. They act similarly and love the same music, and their friendship is full of laughing, shouting at each other, and of course, lots of jokes about one another's height. But when Risa notices her feelings for Ootani growing, she's worried. She doesn't know if he can ever see her as more than a friend. With her friends rooting for her, she struggles to make him see how she feels about him, and that a romantic relationship between a tall girl and a short guy can work. Oblivious Ootani doesn't make things easy for her, but she stubbornly perseveres in her own unconventional way, determined for her feelings to get through to him, and finally be returned. If only she could do it without driving herself and everyone else crazy in the process...
